My Reaction to P-Noy's SONA

After watching the local news where President Aquino III was featured as a leader with falling percentage of trust from his people, I lost interest with his coming SONA. When his SONA was broadcasted nationally, I did not even make an effort to know what his speech was about, until today because of a requirement. His speech was merely a talk about his achievements, promises and words that, for me, will remain as it is. On the contrary of my disinterest to Mr. President's actions, I appreciate his SONA for using our very own language. At least almost every of hius people who watched or listened to his SONA, understood his speech. Past administrations used English language that the Filipinos hardly understood what they were talking about. NOw, it's clear that President Aquino's plans for his countrymen is dedicated to them.

Breast Feeding

Breast feeding is one the things that are neglected by mothers today. That is why we are trying to bring its spirit back this Nutrition Month. There are lots of benefits that could be taken from breastfeeding. One is that nutrients needed by the baby is directly gotten from its mother by breastfeeding. The first few months of the mother, she is lactating, her breasts are producing a nutritious substance that helps her baby to grow healthy. Two is that we can be sure that what our babies taking in are clean, nutritious and healthy. Not like the others, milks from animals, such as goats and cows, we are still unsure of its content. Three is that it's practical. Compared to branded milk that are sold worldwide, breast milk is a lot cheaper than any of these. As a youth, we could help spread the goodness of breast feeding by promoting it to our community.
